You will remember last year when we announced our collaborative project with Grays School of Art through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the appointment of a dedicated design role within our business. We are now at a stage the company can reveal the plans for the project with a pre-launch on the horizon. The pre-launch of the new sub brand which will sit alongside, Montrose Rope and Sail & Montrose Bag Company, is due to be revealed on Friday the 14th of June across social media platforms. From mid June, the new range brand and behind the scenes content will slowly be revealed until Winter 2019 when the new range products will launch online.
The project has been underway since late February last year and has been very secretive up until now. Amy Gair, our designer on the project said “There has been a long period of research into the best way to tackle the brief, this has included looking at the past and current company and recognising key values and ideas which we could use and bring forward into the new range. It has been a work in progress and something which could only be developed over time getting to know the company. We want the new range to capitalise on the unique heritage of the company but also take ideas from the current company, we’ll realise these in a new way within the new range which is aimed at a different market.”
